Evelyn Smith Perry

After graduation, I attended Ricks College for two years. I was called to serve as a missionary in Bolivia. After returning home I decided to go on a Bicentennial / Church History Tour in 1976. I met my husband on that trip! We lived in Rose Park, then Bountiful where our first son, Blake, was born. Claron was hired by a company in Charleston, South Carolina. While we lived there, our daughter, Caron was born. With the challenging economy in the early 80s, we returned to Salt Lake and lived in South Cottonwood. Our son, Danny, was born there. Claron then started his own home design company and we built our own home in South Jordan. Our son, Nathan, was born 13 weeks prematurely. Through blessings and miracles he grew and has been very healthy.
For the last twenty-three years I have worked for a forensic accounting group. There have been many blessings and challenges along the way. I am happy to be serving in the baptistry of the Jordan River Temple as an organist.
We recently had the enjoyment of one of our son's being married. It was my first time in the role of "mother of the groom". Within six months of that I attended a wedding shower for the bride of my nephew. I was surprised to find that the Grandmother of the bride was none other than our classmate, Judy Larsen (Hutchings). Apparently our timelines are a bit crossed over, generationally. It was great to talk to her. She is still her spunky self.

I still remember Mr. Mason teaching economic principles. He was upset that social security funds were not being separated from the general budget. As a high school student I didn't understand why he put so much emotion into it. I understand a lot better now.

Herr Vreeken was my German teacher. I realize now that he put a lot of heart and soul into making our classes and the German Club fun as well as educational.

Pep Club was a blast!
